UPDATE: We just learned that state law prohibits stops of more than 4 hours at rest areas. We asked the security guard though, and he said it was fine to stay for the night.

After a long day of travel, this rest stop was like an oasis. It was clean, secure and right off the highway. Beautifully maintained, it was a nice welcome to North Carolina. The GPS coordinates are: 34°59'39"N 78°50'12"W. What a great introduction to dry camping.
