The raccoons come out for their dinner. The mother stands watch until it's safe for her babies to come eat. Before anyone asks: yes we feed the raccoons. There are around 40-50 or so that live in the woods and if they aren't fed they run amok and knock over trash cans in the neighborhood foraging for food. This way, they all stay in one place and don't bother anyone.
