I have yet to see an article where they detailed the dating method used by BYU for these bodies. I think its very possible that these are the first born of egypt. Behind the scenes, this is what I think happened. Egypt was very clear that they didn't want any information at all to be released about the find because they knew it could be tied to the Biblical exodus. However, BYU has funding supporters/investors they needed to show what their money has been spent on for the last 28 years. So they made up the date of 1500 years ago to keep biblical speculation at a minimum. However, having gone against the wishes of the host country to report the find, they revoked the permit. I also think the BYU decision to make this announcement of this find in the media is NOT a coincidence that it happened at the same time as the release of the film, Patterns of Evidence in select US theaters. BYU being a religious institution could put 2 and 2 together and I believe they knew the permit would probably get revoked but they chose not to sit on the find and keep it quiet.
