At the time of writing - 27 June 2009 - it has not been too impressive. There were some wonderful days in May as can be seen in my films from the Czech Republic but June has been a complete washout in most of Europe north of the Alps. Jelitkowo (formerly Glettkau) is the northernmost part of the city of Gdańsk. As can be seen, it has beautiful sandy beaches, the town became known as an Ostsee-Bad Glettkau in the nineteenth century. There is an old tram route, which was built from Danzig, the main city, to tram loop in Glettkau. It now runs from Gdansk to Jelitkowo.
