It is an ellipse mechanism. Every point of the small magenta circle (circumcircle of isosceles triangle ACD) traces a straight line (in violet). Circumcenter of triangle ACD traces a circle (in green). The small magenta circle rolls inside the large fixed magenta one. They are Cardano circles.
