5 Ornamentations of Soloing - How to Solo on Guitar For Beginners Tutorial

Alright you beginners out there, today we are going to talk about how to make your guitar solos sound more vocal. The ultimate goal with your solos is to make something that your listener can identify with and can feel. In doing so you want your solos to sound and feel more melodic and vocal. Melody will come from your note choice and understanding of harmony, while your vocal inotation will come from ornamention, of which we have five elements. The hammer on, pull off, bend, vibrato and slide.

Each of the these individual elements should be explored one at a time, and really mastered individually, but this lesson will serve more as a crash course for all five so you can see how they work and how to transform a basic lick into something more vocal.
