Southwest Detective division is investigating a series of commercial burglaries that occurred in the early morning hours of October 12th and 19th. The method of entry in these incidents are all the same and happen in the same general area of south 44th and 45th street in west Philadelphia. Video footage showing the suspect was recovered in one of these incidents.

On Friday, October 12, 2018, at approximately 5:17 am, an unknown person gained entry to Honest Tom's restaurant located at 263 South 44th Street through the front glass door. Once inside the suspect took an unknown amount of money from the cash register. There are no surveillance cameras inside the restaurant. While surveying the area officers observed damage to the front glass door of 265 South 44th street, the Lil Pop Shop however no entry was was made. Officers also noticed damage to the front glass door of 269 South 44th Street, Tampopo restaurant and entry was made to the restaurant but nothing was taken and there was no money left in the cash register. There are no surveillance cameras on location.

Incident #2:

On October 19, 2018 at 3:19 am, an unknown person gained entry to the Green line Cafe located at 4426 Locust Street through a side window.  Once inside the suspect resacked the business was in the fled without taking anything.

Incident #3:
DC 18-18-066949

On October 19, 2018, an employee of Earth Cup Café located at 405 South 45th Street found the front window broke and the inside in disarray. Surveillance video depicts an unknown black male breaking the the front door glass with a hammer gaining access to the business. The suspect then fled the area and it is unknown if anything was taken at this time.

Suspect Description: Black male, wearing a knit hat, quilted jacket, and jeans.
