The Pickens County Board of Commissioners held a work session on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 , with the Mayors of the City of Jasper, City of Nelson and the Town of Talking Rock, and their representatives, concerning the upcoming 2014 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) referendum.  Roads is the key issue for the tax.  The vote will be held in March 2014.
