The port of Baltimore is one of the largest ports in the world. According to economists, the proposed tariffs that President Trump is putting forth could pose some serious implications for day-to-day operations. The announcement rocked financial markets all over the world Thursday as President Trump imposed tariff hikes on imported steel and aluminum from China, as well as the possibility of additional tariffs up to $60 billion, after complaints that Beijing steals or forces companies to hand over intellectual property, threatening national security.
