Ivan wakes up to the smell of wet moldy flesh, Trolls!
He remembers now, being ambushed by trolls in the night while he was working on a summoning ritual to bring forth more undead to help him on his quest. Just as he was finishing pillaging the near by cemeteries of their corpses he was captured by a group of near by trolls.
He woke up to the smell of not just trolls, a mixture of other creatures was in the air, of all ranging species from all around The Old World.
Then he sensed it, his undead army he was beginning to raise, they felt him, they came to his aid, and with them came gigantic ghouls that caught the smell of a giant pile of flesh ripe for the eating. "Perfect!" Ivan thought to himself just need to bind my time a little while longer before I set myself free. "Oh they will pay" he thought to him self, "...and the world will burn."
