AG wants more powers to deal with abuse of state resources

Irregular expenditure has increased to 45,6 billion rand in the 2016/2017 financial year. This is according the Auditor-General's report on the audit results of the country's national and provincial departments. Speaking to the media in Pretoria, AG Kimi Makwetu says the amount could have been higher if the audits at Prasa were included.
