From "Piazzale Roma" in Venice take bus 53 to Malcontenta.
Malcontenta, just south of Venice main islands on mainland. Famous for Villa Foscari by Palladio. Note that Villa Foscari has very limited opening hours, so plan your arrival in advance! If you don't make it to Villa Foscari, there are only a handful of streets in Malcontenta, with a couple of standard restaurants, so probably not worth a visit other than passing through. There is a hotel next to the bus stop, though, that looks fair.
