A playthrough of Jaleco's 1990 basketball game for the Nintendo Game Boy, In Your Face.

I play both the 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 modes in this video.

On the back of the box, In Your Face informs you as a potential buyer: "It's playground rules, playground players, and it's playground tough! It's IN YOUR FACE!"

I'm not entirely sure I agree with that assessment, but the print is big and some of it is bolded, so I guess we should accept that as a premise of some sort. In Your Face is a bit like Hoops or Jordan vs. Bird, except someone forgot to include all the content. Or any content, really. It's kinda neat for about five minutes, but seriously - the run time of this video reflects the amount of time it takes to see everything on offer. You get 1-on-1 and 2-on-2, and you can chose a couple of basic things in setting up the game.

There is a neat, Double Dribble style dunk cinematic. That's about all I've got. It's better than White Men Can't Jump! for the Atari Jaguar, but then, so is a sharp stick to the eye.

This is embarrassingly devoid of any value whatsoever, even for an early Game Boy release. And it was a US exclusive - those lucky Americans. Uck.
