The beginning of Squalor Victoria with Bryan's drumming when The National played The Greek Theatre at my alma matter, UC Berkeley (Go Bears) on April, 27, 2014.
When I get to see him perform, I can't tell if I want to get home to practice or give up playing entirely. Being inspired wins over so thank you Bryan for being one of the drummers to influence this 44 year old grandmother to finally learn how to play. It has changed my life.

(I'm not going to lie, it was awesome experiencing two separate things that I am emotionally tied to so deeply in one event. Toward the end I went to the very top so see them play with my Campanile Tower right behind them & the SF city lights in the background. Beautiful sight).
