e.tv and the eNews Channel would like to congratulate Sam Rogers for taking the title, CNN MultiChoice African Journalist of 2010. The awards ceremony and gala evening took place on Saturday, 29 May in Kampala, Uganda. Sam's winning story, ''Curse of the Nobody People" was broadcast on 3rd Degree last year. It investigated the brutal murder of albinos in Tanzania. In just 18 months 60 albinos were hunted down by unscrupulous operators. The body parts of these victims were used for muti, following a belief that their skin has medicinal powers. There have been cases where young albino children have been dragged from the safety of their beds at night and murdered. In addition to winning the overall prize, this powerful investigation also won the award for best TV feature. Here is part of this award winning show.
