Meet Pepper Robot and more Cool Automation

During a recent layover in Tokyo's Narita Airport, I happened upon some pretty smart things, including a Pepper Robot and a robotic beer dispenser, amongst other cool stuff. While the robot is not as smart as my Amazon Echo, I could see where this technology is headed. It won't be long before you have one of these little white machines running around your house playing Mr. Belvedere and turning your lights on and off for you. Today's purpose for Pepper is simply to make you happy. The robot is designed to sense your mood through your voice tones and your facial expressions and determine what it will take to cheer you up. But don't get your hopes up too high. If your troubles require needing a bag of cash, your out of luck. Coming in at around $2,000 USD, Pepper likely to cost you more than you can make in the deal. Oh, and there's a Boeing 787 in the video also... Just for fun.
