 00:00  Hi, I'm Mike Marko. Are you looking for ideas to attract customers for your business? Well, I understand your frustration because I was there originally too when I started my business years ago. And I have several businesses now and I've learned how to attract the customers that I need to get to my business, and I wanna share those techniques with you. 

00:15 And it really comes down to a system that I've created to help our clients, get customers for their  business, called the Pervasive PresenceTM engine. It's geared towards helping people gain more customers, more clients, more patients for your local business from your local area. And it starts off in having a foundation in place. 

00:33 The foundation is based on a 3-gear principle; I’m using analogy like a sports car. So, if you jump to a high-performance sports car and shift it from park and you jam it into through a gear, you're lucky if you don't damage the engine. 

00:46 Marketing is the exact same way. And that's why you have to be able to set the foundation in place before you can actually get up to the higher speeds and start building up more momentum in your business. It all starts off in, obviously, from what we call “in park”, which really is understanding the target audience. 

01:03 Understanding your target audience is extremely important to have done for any type of success for any of the levels of marketing you wanna do. So, once you have that in place, we're going 1st gear. 1st gear is making sure your website is set up properly, so that within two, three seconds, people know exactly what you're about, what do you have to offer as special, and what to do next. 

01:19 You also make sure you have your Google set-up in place, your SEO or Search Engine Optimization. So, that way, people can actually find your website. But if creating the most important part of exactly what we do for Google My Business and Google Maps Optimization and make sure that's optimized properly in an ongoing process, so that when people are searching online with maps or with their voice-activated phone, or whatever it may be, they can find you, all right? And that sets the foundation. 

01:47 Once you have that foundation in place, then we start shifting the 2nd gear, which I actually use Google Ads. Google Ads is great for driving traffic for a local business because people are looking for specific terms related to your business, and you want to be found and they drive to your website. But that's where most people stop when they use Google Ads.  What you also need to do and make sure you have a plan is called retargeting. So, if say, for instance, when you visit your website, what happens is there what you wanna do is retarget, is follow them for a period of time, but again, depends on your part in the customers and all that stuff you have analyzed in the 1st Gear, is to literally follow them with ads and take them through an indoctrination series where you can start telling them which services, remind them who you are, what you target. 

02:31 Okay. Once you have that in place, then we shift it into 3rd gear. We start using social media marketing. Once you've collected... run right into social media marketing right away. But if you don't have that proper foundation in place, it becomes really hard to attract our customers, you're gonna get frustrated because the results are much slower with social media marketing usually, and you could be wasting a lot more money if you don't have that proper foundation in place.
