I spent lunch today flying mini-quads with Romeo Barrera AKA: Massive Overkill, proprietor of http://MassiveRC.com.

I really got an education on the state of the art in mini quads, and came away really impressed. I learned that you can fly these guys in really brutal wind conditions. I had never dreamed you could fly like this, but as you will see in this series of video's, windy conditions mean nothing.

Wind is no longer an excuse not to fly. My Action Cam (Looxcie) is pretty weak, and was slanted on my head the first couple of videos, so the real value in these videos is our conversation. We discuss my impressions as a total neophyte on the different brands and models, and their flying characteristics.

I started the day with my Hubsan X4 (before I broke out the action cam and started recording), just to baseline my flying ability and get an idea of what I could expect while under these windy conditions. Then we proceeded to fly a whole squadron of mini-quads.

I've never seen so many in one place. It was the most fun I've had in quite awhile.
