This is one of the easier ones, but he sure packs a punch with the physical attacks! Make sure to equip all 4 party members with Gaia Gear armor, it absorbs some of the Earth-based attacks he can do. He can still hit you very, very hard with his physical attacks too. Additionally, the fact that I didn't level Relm or give her Magic didn't help either!

Locke - Golem Esper (soaks up a lot of the physical attack damage)
Celes - Dualcasting Ultimas (she didn't have Quick)
Setzer - Quick then Ultima
Relm - Fenrir for added protection

When you win this battle, you wind the Godhand fist weapon for Sabin. This is Sabin's best weapon in the game, but keep in mind it has the Holy property so it actually heals some enemies.
