Some Kansas soldiers stopped by an Olathe elementary school on Tuesday to say thank you to students.

More than 600 students at Liberty View Elementary have been sending care packages and letters to soldiers serving in Iraq.

Teacher Jamie Turner and the fifth-grade class started the project by adopting 16 soldiers through the organization Soldiers Angels.

The students will continue sending packages through the summer.
