Discussion with Matthew Rogge, of the http://www.techfortrade.org/ project - and the Digital Blacksmith network. The question remains: will the Techfortrade filament maker (for PET) project release its blueprints, or remain not open for independent replication? If the blueprints are released, then OSE would like to replicate and help develop the filament maker to a viable product. From OSE's side, the interest would be running Extreme Build workshops, where we build a filament maker in One Day. Other revenue models could include selling kits and finished products. ----- What you see here at Open Source Ecology is an ambitious program based on a volunteer effort.
