Military fighter jet crashes on night mission: Fears for Iraqi pilot of F-16 after it hit the ground during training flight in Arizona
F-16 aircraft confirmed to have crashed north of Douglas, Arizona
Pilot was the only person on board and his status is unknown
Army personnel from Fort Huachuca have been sent to the crash site.

An Iraqi pilot was flying the military fighter jet that crashed during a night training mission, officials said.
The pilot was the only person on board when the F-16 came down in Douglas, Arizona, according to the Arizona National Guard.
It was unclear whether the airman, who was with the 162 Wing Arizona Air National Guard and had been training in America for four years, had managed to eject before the impact.

Colleagues described his status as 'unknown.'
Iraqi defense minister Brigadier General Tahseen Ibrahim said: 'We have no word yet on his fate or the reason behind the crash.
'We are in contact with the Americans to get more details.'
Witness Angel Ortega described hearing a loud explosion that he initially thought was thunder before he saw the smoke.
Cochise County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Carol Capas told the Arizona Daily Star that the plane ruptured a gas line and sparked a fire, which 'is almost out'.
Once the flames are extinguished, officials will be able to assess the damage.
