Meditation Music for Harmonizing the Earth Element (Part 6/6) Album: Tatwa - Earth Pakhavaj: Pt. Sheetal Prasad Mishra Drums: Vizy Rodricks Vocals: Dr. Ojesh Pratap Singh Narration: Manuji The instruments used in this album are the Indian percussion instrument 'pakhavaj' and the western drums. The basic rhythm on the pakhavaj is the 'teen taal'. Teen taal is symbolic of the timelessness of the universe and is often used in Indian classical music. Percussion instruments have been used to replicate the feeling of solidity provided by the Earth. The sounds from the pakhavaj and the drums synchronize the earth element in our body with the earth element in the cosmos. Their frenetic pace is symbolic of the Earth and its life-sustaining properties.
