SEASSI 2015 Intermediate Khmer Class Sophat Play

Each year at SEASSI, the Intermediate Khmer language class reads the first Khmer novel, Sophat, in its entirety. In Week 7 of the eight week program, students conceive of, write, practice and perform a short play based on their interpretation of the first six chapters of the novel. The play includes spoken dialog, poetry written in traditional Khmer meters, and sometimes song. This is the 2015 class' effort.
