This was my first FTR Hare Scramble race. I got 1st overall and won by just a tick under 6 minutes over 2nd place. I did a total of three laps and finished in 1hr and 27 minutes. I made what seemed like a hundred passes on lap one. On the first lap, I ended up following too close to a guy and didn't see the roots and tucked the front wheel and went down. As the race went on the passes were a little tougher to make as I closed in on the guys in faster classes. Also, I didn't have a camelback and made a quick little stop for a splash of water on lap two. Overall it was a great experience and met some amazing people who regularly race the FTR series.
