Vio is a free iOS app that's supposed to be used as a toy vocoder, but WHO CARES ABOUT WHAT THINGS ARE "SUPPOSED" TO BE AMIRITE? Instead of singing into Vio using that crappy built-in microphone, I connected a Korg Monotron. I honestly wasn't expecting so much awesomeness. To make this work you'll need something that lets you send audio to your iPad or iPhone. I have an Alesis IODock, which works perfectly with my old-ass iPad 2.
