On September 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rolled out the Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (PMJAY) from Jharkhand's capital Ranchi, described as the world's largest government-funded healthcare programme, meant to provide Rs. 5 lakh insurance cover to 10 crore families.
