April 27, 2011, VGL at the Centre in the Square (sorry for low quality video - it's cropped iPhone footage from the balcony) VGL attendee Alex wins the Guitar Hero competition before the show begins, earning himself the opportunity to win big during the show on stage. After having difficulty actually getting to the stage, he takes the controller, and is informed that he needs to earn 200,000 - no, 240,000 points (to make it more challenging) on HARD. Alex, with a cocky response some thought, said he wants to play on EXPERT. Makes sense, to earn more points even if losing quicker. Well... ...he blew everyone's mind by blasting through the entire song "Jump" from Van Halen, hitting every note, every solo, and earning over 300,000 points, living up to his request! Un-freaking-believable. (yes, of course there may be videos of people who accomplish this regularly, and more, but to see this happen live, unexpectedly - brilliant!) Way to go Alex!
