Millions of people across Asia watched the longest total solar eclipse of this century - though clouds and rain obscured views in some areas. Billed as the eclipse of the century ,it had generated great excitment among astronomers,scientists and ordinary people. For some Asians,the eclipse is viewed as a bad omen - whereas others who saw it,described the phenomenon as 'magical'.
