We visited the USS Alabama in Mobile, Alabama while on our trip to the US of A. A South Dakota class battleship commissioned in 1942 and served in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. She's 35,000 long tons and 210 metres long, she is a big ship. She was berthed at Mobile bay (Battleship Park) in 1964. This was the ship used in the movie "Under Siege"
