This engine is the same HP and similar layout to the 5 HP Special Electric Video I have posted but without the special heavy duty features. This example was made between 1905 - 1910 and spent its life pumping water into a cranberry bog in New Jersey. It is of the hit and miss design, typical to American built Otto's, fueled by gasoline and is outfitted with a Sumter Type B Low tension rotary magneto. The engine underwent a mechanical restoration in 2004 and was mounted on a reproduction sub base. It is frequently displayed at the Canandaigua, NY and Coolspring, Pa engine shows
