We had so much fun celebrating Polar Bear Week, we here at SeaWorld San Diego decided to extend it into Polar Bear Month! In part two of our Trainer Talk series on polar bears, we learn all about polar bear moms and their cubs. Polar bears are an amazing animal that heavily rely on sea ice for hunting and building their dens. Historically, many polar bear females denned in multi-year pack ice; however, this is becoming less common with the decrease in sea ice stability due to climate change. Small changes to save energy and reducing our carbon footprint can make a huge difference for polar bears! Watch the video above to learn more.
