Imagine being locked in a room for days, with no food, being mocked, sometimes abused by the people meant to be looking after you. That's the serious allegation made against guards at British detention centres by a young man who's committed no crime but who came to the UK in search of safety. This afternoon, MPs met to discuss poor practices at Yarl's Wood and Morton Hall - the man who spent time in both, facing a daily threat from violent criminals, says the experience has wrecked his life.
