Balta Monkiki was born in Inglewood, CA and raised in Northwestern Mexico knowing nothing about dance until he arrived in Phoenix, Arizona. Listening to the sound of hip-hop for the first time in high school completely consumed his entire being. Balta began teaching at the age of 16, a self-trained Dancer/Choreographer which allowed him to naturally create his own movement and vision. Throughout the years he has been grateful to train with anyone he was ever inspired by Like Tony Tzar, Kumari Suraj, Jessica Starr, Tricia Miranda to name a few. He is always eager to learn and grow. Now residing in Hollywood, CA As he pursues his career, Teaching for Japan's Number 1 pop artist, Che'Nelle, to Guest teaching at Edge Performing Arts, Debbie Reynolds and a weekly class at International Dance Academy. Balta Monkiki teaches House, Jazz Funk, Waacking and Hip-hop. Always focusing on the importance of History, Technique, Music and Culture. As he continues to expand internationally, He always remembers his message for love, peace, honesty and freedom.
