Pabu had so much fun at this new park so I decided to take him back here. This time round I brought the little princess malabar with. I hand reared her over two years ago, unfortunately someone clipped her wings in such a way her feathers have not grown back normally :( She has returned back to me so I will work with her and see if she can improve which I feel she’s doing already! I have finished training the little hahns Macaw for free flight, she is getting picked up today by my friend (also a free flight group member) who will take over from here. She was a brilliant student haha and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get attached :( but the fact she’s going to my friend makes it easier :) Pabu as usual has gone completely nuts about this tree and park, he did however get very possessive and refused to share his space with either the hahns or malabar. *important to know that cockatoos, African greys and I think some amazons are dusty... naturally. The powder sander is used to protect the feathers the same way in which other parrots use oil from a gland near their bum bum 👍 It’s also why it can cause health issues for both you and other parrots ie macaws when housed indoors with dusty species, their lungs and your own can get affected causing serious sickness.
