So today on the homestead we're building a small pen for our katahdin sheep, which are a type of hair sheep bred for meat production. This is going to be a very important part of our SHTF TEOTWAWKI WROL preparation; the ability to produce protein, at scale, on our own property. We are also looking into getting Boer meat goats, to raise on the property for goat meat. We also plan to scale up our chickens in the spring, as chickens are an incredible source of recurring protein for SHTF WROL TEOTWAWKI; we want both laying hens and meat birds, probably freedom rangers for meat birds, as we hate cornish cross.
