I spotted this submarine from our cruise ship. We were on a 10 Night cruise on the Norwegian Jade, sailing from Rome to ports in Greece and Turkey.  The ship docked in Istanbul overnight. From the deck of the ship, I was walking around, and suddenly noticed a black vessel sailing by.  Looking closer, it turned out to be a submarine! I am not an expert in submarines so I do not know what type of submarine this was. Check it out.

This was the first time I had spotted a submarine while on a cruise ship.   The second time was more recent, in Dec 2015, while we were on the MSC Preziosa.  While docked in Valletta, Malta, I spotted this submarine sailing out.  Very cool.
