At least 12 people are dead in the republic of Dagestan following another twin set of bombings in Russia. Nine of the victims are police officers - some killed by a car bomb and others by a suicide bomber. The attack comes just two days after explosions claimed the lives of 39 people in the Moscow subway. Dagestan is one of several republics in Russia's turbulent North Caucasus, a region Russian authorities suspect is behind the Moscow blasts. VOA Moscow Correspondent Peter Fedynsky reports the Caucasus has a long history of bloodshed.
