The insertion of new ties are time consuming process relative to the other operations and require two machine. New ties are inserted to the location where old ties are removed. Since stones are falling into the gabs created by removal of the old ties, insertion operation is not as smooth as extracting operation and require three to four pass in and out to complete insertion operation.
