The latest Made Here project is a one-of-a kind, kinetic sculpture called Pedalstar Gallactica which was crafted out of recycled street banners and people-powered through a decorated exercise bike. It is installed for public riding and viewing in the City Center Atrium. Hennepin Theatre Trust commissioned the Super-Secret Sewist Society, an artist team, to transform vinyl street banners, used previously on Hennepin Avenue to promote theatre productions, into a one-of-a-kind, interactive and moveable work of art. The artist team includes Molly Diers, Rozina Doss, Ann Meyers, Sarah Stubbs and Liseli Polivka, local luminaries in costume, prop and set design, textile art and modern quilting.
