South African artist Aero Manyelo has mixed the next Body Language compilation for Get Physical, and as part of it has produced two new and exclusive tunes which are now presented here. One is a solo effort, one is with Fluida, and both prove he is one of the most exciting artists in the game right now.

Manyelo is a prominent artist in his native South Africa who has spent more than a decade in the scene, previously as part of the band Batuk and most recently back once again as a solo artist. In that time his organic house tunes have landed on Sound Pellegrino and Herbal 3 Records as well as on the Africa Gets Physical compilation with his ‘Mooki’ track, which became a firm favourite of Dixon and Damian Lazarus. 

Opening this EP is ‘Man to Many’, a collaboration with UK duo and Anjunadeep associates Fluida. It is a beautifully cultured house track with chants, tribal percussion and a dreamy live hang drum performance. It’s the sound of joyful dancing as the sun sets and is sure to be heard everywhere as the days and nights get warmer.

Next, Manyelo goes solo with ‘Taking Long’, a deeper, more thoughtful track. This one has wavy rubber beats getting you into the grove and droning pads adding a calm sense of serenity. Chants percolate up through the mix and eventually take centre
stage to carry you off into the night.

These are two colourful and charming tracks that will likely make their way into many dancer’s and DJ’s hearts this year.
