The use of identity in painting is a metaphor of one's presence and is related to the environment, place, time and collective knowledge of one's life.
In his paintings, Muayad used several metaphors, perhaps the most noted ones are the use of ancient Mesopotamian heritage symbols and other symbols that are closely related to the daily lives of Iraqis

Muayad Muhsin's style in drawing is unique, his work shows glimpses of the daily life of Iraqis and the struggles they went through over the years, you find a piece of Iraq in every metaphor he uses in his paintings and he is the best to implement the Iraqi identity in a painting
