Surfer Fights To Protect South Bay From Cross-Border Pollution

The national debate around US-Mexico border security has focused on the need to stop illegal immigration and drug trafficking. But South Bay San Diego residents are fighting a lesser-known battle, to stop another cross- border flow: pollution from Mexico. They say the decades- long environmental struggle has been hindered by a lack of binational collaboration. KPBS Fronteras reporter Jean Guerrero brings us the story of local environmentalist Paloma Aquirre and her efforts to protect the waters along the border.
