Focus on dodging the obstacles and collect items as you are dodging. Items you want to collect have red arrows on top of them, so avoid anything that doesn't have red arrows on them and pay attention to the bottom left of the screen. I recommended to not use the arrow keys at all, just use the spacebar to jump. I stayed on the cliff side to avoid most obstacles and just jumped the entire time.
