When superstar met superstar!

Jennifer Lopez spilled the tea on how she and Alex Rodriguez first hooked up.

"It's very simple. I was having lunch somewhere and I saw him. He passed by," the 47-year-old told The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday.  "Afterward I went outside, but for some reason I felt like tapping him on the shoulder and said, 'Hi.'"

Translation: I'm famous, you're famous, so we should know each other.



The duo then made small talk and parted ways without exchanging digits, because he apparently already knew how to get ahold of her.

Translation: Have your people call my people.

The Shades of Blue star continued: "He [later] texted me, said, 'Let's go out to dinner,' and I said, 'OK.'"

Translation: You're a major baller and I'm done with boy toy dancers.

Jennifer revealed they had a "nice dinner," but denied sleeping over his place.

"No. Mama don't sleep over on the first date!"

Translation: J.Lo always keeps them waiting ... for tonight.
