United Nations, 26 March 2009 -  Daily Briefing by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary General. Following consultations with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Executive Board, the Secretary-General has written to the President of the General Assembly requesting the General Assembly to confirm Helen Clark of New Zealand as the new Administrator of UNDP for a term of four years.  Miss Clark replaces Mr. Kemal Dervis of Turkey.
