Here’s to health. Ultimate all-around mind, body, spirit health. We have all heard hundreds – thousands – of stories of those who successfully rose above poverty, racism, neglect, abuse, assault, trauma or victimization of any kind. Our hearts swell and we celebrate their tenacity. It encourages us, on behalf of whatever piece in our own life needs a little boost of resolve. At what cost, we wonder, and which investment in hope helped them do so. Join our speaker as we journey from trauma to health, with story, science, and the practice of gratitude.

Laura Landgraf, acclaimed author, speaker, social activist, champion for change and empowerment, retreat leader, and life coach, will awaken hope in you. Laura attributes much of her success in life to lessons learned from her challenging childhood experiences and her fight for her own freedom and the safety of her children. She uses those experiences to assert that anyone can tap into their strength, overcome adversity, create positive change, and succeed despite all odds. Her children now grown, Laura lives life filled with family, music, laughter, standup paddle boarding, and supporting the empowerment of others. http://lauralandgraf.com This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
