Galaxy DX 979 AM SSB Mobile in the wife's burban. I have been using a President HR 2510 in the burban and never liked the crappy ass receive audio, at freeway speed it is just to hard to pick out stations. ( I have bad hearing) Also my wife some times gets lost frequency wise. a few weeks ago she came home and was complaining that she had been calling me on our local monitoring channel which is 23, I told her that our base stations are on 23....So I go out to the truck and she is up on 10 meters calling..lol
So I decided to put a legal CB in then when the channel selector says 23...its on 23! K.I.S.S. This radio has a great receive and now I can understand who I am talking to and the Girls don't have any trouble " calling Dad " A win / win situation..Oh and tuned up....it kicks ass
