A staff of Osun State College Of Technology Esa-oke, Olaniyi Temitope was reportedly killed by suspected Herdsmen while four others were kidnapped and their whereabouts is not know yet.

The Deputy Rector, College of Technology Esa-Oke Aladiya Johnson, while briefing journalists about the incident said , those people were waylaid by the kidnappers when they were returning home after the close of work.

He said the incident happened yesterday evening between Onibo oje and Agric farm settlement Esa- Oke in Obokun Local Government Area of the state.

He further explained that ,the deceased Olaniyi temitope was trying to escaped from the scene when he was shot dead.

On the scene assessment, the state Commissioner of Police ,Olafimihan Adeoye said ,the Command responded swiftly to the distress call of the institution and one Policeman was injured while combating the assailants.

According to Adeoye, Police Men have been deployed to search all the bushes around promising to apprehend the kidnapers and ensure release of the victims soon.

The police and local vigilantee continue searching to ensure freedom of those who are still in the the custody of the suspect kidnapers.
