My friend Kurt Solmssen just had an art opening in New York City at the George Billis Gallery. Of the many pleasures of a New York City art opening, there are three that instantly jump to mind. The first is the massive consumption of food and or alcoholic beverages. The second is the chance to interact with all your fellow art lovers, many of them stylishly attired and of great visual interest. And of course, peering at the artwork itself is often somewhat rewarding in its own right.
